Why Go To Church?

Why go to any particular church? Why go to church at all?

These days, organized religion is a controversial term. The news reports detail scandal after scandal, memberships and relevance continue to decline across America, and church seems at best an afterthought. I mean, who needs yet another obligation, right?

At Concordia, we have something different: we have the unbounded grace and mercy of God. We believe that worship is not a job we do to please God, but a gift from God to sustain us.

We have Christ in the Word of God and Holy Communion, and all of the comfort that the good news of salvation brings.

In a world full of strife, we have peace. In a world full of spite, we have mercy.  In a world full of injustice, we have righteousness. And in a world full of hatred, we have God.

We would like to share everything we have with you. Join us in worship this Sunday to begin a new, different life.
